The course

The DVSA designed course that we offer may reduce your annual insurance premium, as it is recognised by most insurers as an advanced qualification.


The course is a real investment in your personal safety and could pay for itself with your potential savings over your riding career

We offer

One to one professional training, with two way intercoms. (the course can be offered to pairs, if you wish to train with a partner or friend).


We conduct an initial assessment ride then tailor the course to your requirements, with positive, constructive feedback.


The course is continual assessment and feedback, it can last between 1 or 2 days, depending on your experience.

 

What you will receive at the end of the course


A log recording your progress is kept by the instructor throughout your training.

On completion we will forward the log to the DVSA who will validate it and your certificate will be sent directly to you from the DVSA

Course contents

Core modules
  1. Structured planned approach to riding
  2. Defensive riding and hazard awareness
  3. Progressive use of speed
  4. Overtaking - filtering
  5. Bends and corners
  6. Slow control
  7. Developing the correct rider attitude

Extra Modules

Once your have completed your initial DVSA Enhance Rider Scheme Training you may consider signing up for one or more of the extra modules
  1. Effective braking techiniques
  2. Filtering (advanced level)
  3. Motorways and dual carriageways
  4. Carrying a passenger or load
  5. Riding for work, delivery or courier
  6. Riding abroad
  7. Blood Bikers
  8. Group riding
  9. Biker down and accident scene management
  10. Motorcycle maintainance and machine awareness
  11. Mobile phones, GPS, sat nav and Bluetooth
  12. Training in alternative environments.

You will need to provide

  • Your own bike, insured with valid road tax and MOT (where applicable)
     
  • A full UK motorbike licence.
     
  • Correctly fitted and safety standards compliant helmet
     
  • All necessary and appropriate protective clothing.
